The main line of “Krion” activity is separation of air into oxygen, nitrogen and argon. This process is based on cryogenic technology: liquid air is separated into constituents (oxygen, nitrogen, argon) in special fractional columns.

The technological schema of production includes work of all the equipment installed. Cryogenic products – liquid oxygen and nitrogen – are fused out of separation blocks through the pipe connection with thermal blanket and are accumulated in the storages of 400 m3 capacity.

The issue of liquid products to consumers is effectuated on gas-distributing columns at the same time out of four railway means of transport and four automobile ones for each product.

Gaseous nitrogen of improved purity, produced by each air separation plant, is directed into general header for compression in the compressors. Gas-free holder schema of nitrogen compression is provided with control system and pressure maintenance system both in suction inlet and discharge header. The need in compressed air of low pressure is satisfied with compressors ЦК-135/8. Nitrogen is consumed on regeneration of drying block and air purification and is issued to consumers through the pipe connection. After compression with compressor of high pressure, nitrogen is directed into the section of filling up the balloons.

Gaseous oxygen produced in separation blocks is directed onto oxygen compressors for delivery to consumers through pipe connections and for filling up the balloons. Liquid argon produced in the air separation blocks after purification from nitrogen and oxygen is delivered through the pipe- connections to the storages and gaseous argon goes for filling up the balloons.

The main technological equipment consisting of air separation plants of high pressure effective cycle with Freon precooling and turboexpander switching on at different temperature levels complies with the latest achievements of native and foreign science and engineering and covers comparable power and operating costs for production of air separation products that permit to compete with other companies beyond the borders of the Republic of Belarus.
